Beginning yoga at a young age best equips children for life. It has now been proven that yoga at a young age helps children to reach their full potential, increases their ability and ensures a harmonic transition from childhood to adolescence and later to adulthood. Through practicing yoga children learn to breathe properly and to control their breath early in life and through practicing the asanas they manage to maintain a healthy and flexible body which is important in maintaining their health. The asanas regulate their hormones and ensure harmonic development of the musculoskeletal system.

About the Teacher

Ajanta, Argyro Gerochristou began her studies at the T.E.I of Athens in the department of Aesthetics in the faculty of health and welfare professions. Parallel with her studies at the T.E.I she was trained in the application of biomolecular therapies for facial and body rejuvenation and worked in this field. She completed an intensive seminar in therapeutic pranic breathing and meditation techniques while she had already begun work as a holistic aesthetician using the body’s energy channels (meridians).
